Fostering disobedient education based on experiences of critical inquiry

Talk within the framework of the 100 years of the El Far de l’Empordà school, January 25, 2025.

Celebrating the centenary of the creation of a school is an event, not only for the educational community, but for those who have school education as a focus of research and teaching. The rural school El Far de l’Empordà is part of the fabric of the life of this town and the region in which it is located. For this reason, it brought together almost a hundred people who shared experiences, enjoyed the exhibition in which it could be seen how the school weaves relationships with the community and how rural life is part of the school. In this framework, talking about disobedient education and critical education contributed to the debate on the place of the public school in a world that transits between misinformation and hope.
