The Another Roadmap School aims to provide open spaces for trans-regional ex- change and learning in Arts Education as an engaged practice commited to social change. It is based on an international network involving professionals situated at universities as well as in museums, cultural institutions, educational centres and grass-roots-organisations in 18 cities on 4 continents. During three years (pilot phase), working groups in the Another Roadmap school will carry out practice and research projects, contribute to a trans-regional Arts Education glossary and share their results in the form of “Learning Units”, publications and a travelling exhibition. Joining experiences in Arts Education as a socially commited practice and organizing collaborative knowledge production between different geopolitical contexts, the school will contribute to advance engaged practices of arts education in a global context.
