This text collects the contributions to the 1st REUNI+D International Symposium. Building networks, establishing synergies: the contribution of research to education, which took place in Barcelona on October 11, 2013. The organization of the seminar stems from the need to contribute to the dissemination, exchange and discussion of the results and contributions of educational research and its implications for the improvement of education. Its aims were:
- To provide an overview of research areas and topics addressed in recent years by REUNI+D members and the other groups that participated in the event, and
- To discuss the ability for researchers to take part in decisions on research policies and claim their role as partners in establishing them.
