In the framework of the profound transformations in the educational ecosystem that began to take place with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the #educarconsentido initiative emerged. A space in which dialogue between more than 120 voices from more than 30 countries of the world has been promoted. All contributing and sharing their experience, expertise, learning and trajectory in order to understand together the different tensions, challenges and educational dilemmas in the framework of an increasingly mediatized and digitized society.
#Educarconsentido was born in March 2020, just when the State of Alarm was decreed in Spain and in most other countries in the world. It was at that time when the Esbrina researchers Pablo Rivera and Raquel Miño, in collaboration with the NGO Faro Digital, represented by its director Ezequiel Passeron, began to carry out a cycle of virtual talks that in its first stage was called #charlascovid. During the months of March to July 2020, a total of 45 dialogues were held with prominent international voices in education, including: Henry Giroux, Boaventura de Souza, Marina Garcés, Cristóbal Cobo, Mariana Maggio, Denise Najmanovich, Carlos Magro, Neil Selwyn, Inés Dussel, Aina Tarabini, among others.
From September 2020 to July 2021, the second stage was carried out, under another name, and with a more sustainable project (beyond the pandemic). We call this stage #educarconsentido. In it, we continue to dialogue with such prominent voices as: Gert Biesta, Fernando Trujillo, Agnés van Zantén, Daniel Inerarity, Cristóbal Suárez, Linda Castañeda, Albert Sangrà, Luci Pangrazio, Juliana Raffaghelli, Geo Saura, Marina Subirats, Ramón Grosfoguel, Ellen Helsper , César Coll, Walter Mignolo, among others.
At present, the third season is beginning to take place. In it, we seek to sustain the spirit of the initiative: dialogue, critical thinking, collective reflection and the different possible paths for education to be one of the central pillars for society. All the seasons of #educarconsentido, along with the weekly premiere chapters, are available in the following playlist on YouTube. You can also listen to the podcasts on Spotify.
